Wanted - Part Time Primary/K-5 Resource Creators

Congratulations! You are a few steps away from a GREAT extra income opportunity creating engaging resources for parents and teachers to  develop children's understanding of Maths and English.

We are looking for a number of experienced Primary/K-5 teachers to create these resources to expand the publishing side of Needs Focused Teaching.

This is a temporary position although for the right people there is the possibility of longer-term work, creating resources on an ongoing, part-time basis.

1.0 Overview:

We are going to be producing a new range of learning resources for children aged:

7-9 (Year 4 UK/Grade 3 US),
8-10 (Year 5 UK/Grade 4 US) and
9-11 (Year 6 UK/Grade 5 US).

The ready to implement activities and worksheets will be perfect for daily morning review or homework as well as for intervention skill building to address learning gaps.

For the first round of production we will be focusing on materials aimed at Grade 3 US/Year 4 UK. We are  therefore looking for year/grade specialists who can produce engaging, fun worksheet tasks and activities to suit this age group.

Initially we will be producing materials for Maths and English Language but you do not need to produce materials for both topics. We have a number of positions available and you should apply for the topic you feel most suited to.

Producing these resources in return for payment from us means you will be signing over all intellectual rights/copyright to Needs Focused Teaching Ltd. The materials must be unique, original and not published elsewhere.

The initial phase of topics/titles will fall into the following groups:

1.1 Mathematics Topics:

Multiplication and Division/Times Tables Practice Activities for Grade 3/Year 4

1.2 Language Topics:

Reading Comprehension Activities for Grade 3/Year 4

Spelling and Word Work Activities for Grade 3/Year 4

2.0 Payment:

A rate of approximately £10 - £15 per page will be paid, depending on the amount and complexity of the content of each worksheet.

This figure can be increased depending on the style and quality of the content provided and we are open to discussion over rates to secure a long-term arrangement with the right people.

3.0 Next Steps/How to Apply:

Please be sure to follow these instructions carefully.

3.1 Choose the title/s you wish to apply for:

You can apply to produce materials for more than one of the topics/titles if you wish but you must be sure that:

a) You are able to produce engaging, original content for each topic you apply for, and

b) You can meet the minimum production requirement of 16 activities every two weeks for each topic you apply for.

You'll find full details on each of the topics in the Information for Resource Creators guide through the link at the bottom of the page.

3.2 Compile your application:

If you feel you will be able to meet the required volume and standard of resources as described, please create TWO sample activities for each topic you are applying for.

Full details on how to create your sample activities can be found in the Information for Resource Creators (link at the bottom of the page).

3.2 Submit your application:

Submit your samples and application to us via our help desk at: www.needsfocusedteaching.com/help .

3.3 Closing date:

All sample activities and applications must reach us by 17th October 2022.

4.0 What Happens After I Apply?

Regretfully we can't respond to everyone who applies for these positions as we usually get inundated with materials. If you don't hear from us within two weeks of the closing date, please assume you have been unsuccessful. And please don't be disheartened, it is not a reflection of you, your skill or creativity, it is purely because we are looking for a particular style of resource.

If you are invited to produce materials for us, there will be a very short 'training' period lasting a maximum of 10 days during which you'll be paid to produce 4 draft activity sheets.

During this period you will be given more instructions and feedback to help ensure our required standard and style is achieved and from then we will give you a contract to produce materials for us on a self-employed basis.
